The Buckhannon Upshur Airport Authority has nearly completed an update to our Master Plan showing the growth of the airport over the next 5, 10, 15 and 20 years. Watch this space for the final report to be finished very soon.
If you have thought of visiting our airport, but due to runway length were unable to land, we ask that you send us a note to that effect stating the type aircraft and your runway needs. Thanks!
Recently we have installed a GCO unit (Ground to Controller Link) to allow pilots to contact Clarksburg Approach Control or Washington ARTCC (when CKB is closed) and Flight Service to get weather, file flight plans and close flight plans while on the ground but in your aircraft.
The operation of the GCO is standard for units across the country, so if you have used them before, there should be no learning curve. If you are unfamiliar with the operation, we have directions on the "NEWS" page of this website and on the bulletin board in the Pilot's Lounge. We hope you like and use the service.
Thank you for your business. We appreciate it!
