 We are  working on an update to the Airport Master Plan dealing with the growth of the airport over the next 5, 10, 15 and 20 years.  We would ask that you submit your ideas  and comments to us by e-mail to this website ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ).  If you have thought of coming to our airport, but due to runway length were unable to land, we ask that you send us a note to that effect stating the type aircraft and your runway needs.  That will help in getting an extension.

Also note that we have installed a GCO unit (Ground to Controller Link) to allow pilots to contact Clarksburg Approach Control or Washington ARTCC when CKB is closed and Flight Service to get weaather, file flight plans and close flight plans while on the ground but in your aircraft. It's operation is standard for units across the country, so if you have used them before, there should be no learning curve.  If you are unfamiliar with the operation, we have directions on the "NEWS" page of this website and on the bulletin board in the Pilot's Lounge.
