Our FAA grant for 2010 is an update of our Master Plan.  We are under contract with Baker/LPA Group for the study.  It will cover every aspect of the airport for the next 5, 10 & 20 years for projects and growth.  It will be finished within 18 months.  There will be a good amount of public input from the tennants, pilots, economic development, and interested community groups and individuals.  We welcome comments and input from transient pilots and visitors.

The project for design of an 8 unit large twin-engine size T-hangar for aircraft with wingspans of up to 62 feet is bid-ready. We are exploring financial avenues . The hangars will offer all utilities available including water, sewer, gas, electric phone, and high-speed data. Rental/lease prices will be determined by the amortization loan costs and are unknown at this time.  We are also presently in the design phases of a two floor office building for our HealthNet 6 operation.  Estimated costs are $1.085 Million for the T hangars and $800,000 for the office building.

To contact Clearance Delivery or FSS Wx Brief by Voice Activation or Quick Click while on the ground to obtain or cancel an IFR Flight Plan:

• To contact Clearance Delivery at CKB click the mic 2 times.

• To contact Washington ARTCC, key the mic and say "Air-Traffic -Control" or click the mic 4 times.
• To contact FSS Wx Brief, key the mic and say Call – Flight –Service - Station" or click the mic 6 times.

The system  will ask you to click the mic twice if it is dialing the correct location. If it is not correct, wait 5 seconds and start again. The GCO will then dial the appropriate number. You will hear it dialing. When the briefer answers just communicate your needs via the radio -telephone link.

HINTS:

If there is no voice activity over the system for 60 seconds (told to standby, etc.), it will  say 'Timing Out, key the mic within 3 seconds and that will get an extra 30 second of "no voice time".

To teminate the call, click the mic 3 times while the frequency is clear and the call will be terminated. Wait 2 seconds and start again.
